Reunion Committee Needs Volunteers to Help Plan 30th!

In an open letter to the membership, class member Bonnie (Weiler) Sagraves is asking for about five or six people to help out in planning the event. She needs folks that are able to devote time to attend meetings and are committed to help with the plans. The event is still about two years away, but plans need to be made so that a facility to hold the event can be booked. Bookings in Daytona need to be made about a year in advance. Lee A. Dumas - It is with great sorrow to announce that class member Lee A. Dumas passed away on January 19, 2008. A memorial service celebrating his life was held on January 26th at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, FL. SCHS Class of 1980 Web Page Correspondence

All SCHS Class of 1980 Web Page correspondence should be sent to our e-mail address: schawks80@verizon.net This is the official address of our class web page, all correspondence to and from the site should use this address. When sending us an e-mail please be sure to use a clear message in the subject line. Verizon e-mail is pretty good about sorting out junk, but every now and then something ends up in my junk mail folder. There may be some forgotten e-mail links that use our old address, that is okay the address is still active, however that address doesn’t filter as much and there is a greater chance that your message may end up in my junk mail folder. So if you do get an old link, let me know and be sure to send your correspondence to the schawks80@verizon.net address.
When sending photo files, just attach them to an e-mail and send them to our official e-mail address. Don’t worry about file size, this is a high speed connection and I have plenty of room on the desktop hard drive. Just don’t upload your entire hard drive to us or something like that! ;)

Member and News Item Submissions

All class members are welcome to submit material of interest to the class on our website. Items to be submitted may be included in an e-mail or as a file attached to an e-mail. For photos we can accept almost any file format out there, we do prefer jpeg files, as this is the file format we use in publishing the site. For text files, we can accept MS Word 2000, WordPerfect 8, or earlier, ASCII, or Windows text formats. We can also accept Adobe PDF file formats as well.
The SCHS Class of 1980 reserves the right to edit any submitted materials for content or to configure it for publication. When submitting news items, they should be factual and true. Preferably a copy or a link to a newspaper article would be helpful. Please be sure to include the source of the information when submitting a previously published item. Submitted materials or photos that are obscene, offensive, or indecent will not be accepted for publication on this webpage.
If you need guidance in sending materials or you need technical info on how to get something to us, please contact us via e-mail and we will try to help you out.
